Complete adventure

5 days in Costa rica and the Jaco Canyoning was my favorite part of the trip. You get a chance to experience multiple activities – hiking up a mountain, ziplining, rapelling down 4 waterfalls, and a big drop at the end. Mike and Vince were excellent guides and really made the group adventure alot of fun. I would highly recommend this over any other activity in Costa Rica.

Highly recommended – fun, safe, well-organized

My group of 7 adults had one day to spend in the area, and we wanted to pack in as much fun as we could. I called Jaco Canyoning, and spoke to Joe, He walked me through the options, and we decided to go with the ziplining in the morning and the waterfalls in the afternoon. He also arranged our transport from San Jose and back to the airport. From start to finish, this was a professional, efficient, customer-oriented experience. Our guides were TERRIFIC – very knowledgeable about the plants, animals, etc. and very safety-oriented. They pointed out some gorgeous toucans that we would not have noticed on our own. They never rushed us, and took us to a terrific, out of the way spot with amazing views for lunch. I don’t have a single negative thing to say about this experience.

Amazing Adventure

I was lucky enough to join Jaco Canyoing on their waterfall repelling/ zipline trip in April, and it was an experience that I will never forget. I have been to Costa Rica a few times before and never took advantage of this opportunity. The instructors were friendly, knowledgable, and an all around good time. Repelling down the waterfall was something that few people can say they have done, and now I can add myself to this list. Make sure you bring your camera or GoPro, you will not want to miss out on the amazing views and the smiles on all your friends faces.

Killer! The good way! No one actually died in our awesome adventure!

Christian and Will were awesome! Funny, knowlegeable and professional. We did the zipline, and waterfall rappelling. The 1/2 mile zipline was something you can’t even imagine. We were treated with great facts while hiking on wildlife and plants. This is a must do while in Jaco. We were picked up at our hotel, on time, and dropped back off. Nice service. Fresh pineapple to eat at the end. Delicious. Not for the faint at heart. I never once felt unsafe with the guys. Great instructions. Take good shoes with grip. Don’t wear flip flops or “Teva like” sandals. I’d wear a bathing suit that dries fast and even a “surf shirt” or something that will dry fast also. You will be standing in water and completely drenched. The monkey drop was a bunch of fun! Enjoy your time!

Amazing experience!

Our tour guide Wilson was wonderful. We did the “Extreme Adventurer” and it was worth every penny. We wouldn’t have known where to find these waterfalls on our own, or how to safely climb to get on the rope or natural slide pool. We also climbed up Nauyaca – and there’s just no way to do this on your own 🙂 It was difficult, a little scary, and totally amazing! We also ate the BEST food for lunch. The waterfalls are so beautiful and breathtaking. One of a kind experience for the adventurous spirit.

Couldn’t ask for better guides!

We took the waterfall rappelling tour the first week of April. We booked through an agency and didn’t know the name of the tour operator. As some in our group were tentative about heights, we googled another outfitter, and were scared out of our minds when we watched their video. So being a bit tentative about the upcoming experience, I was quickly put at ease when I saw the quality Black Diamond climbing harnesses, the ropes and saw that MIke was the perfect guide–calming, reassuring, focused on the cient, pinpoint with instructions. Backing off the platform in mid-air was a walk in the park with Mike looking me straight in the eyes and coaching me.

The total experience was incredible–good short hike to waterfalls, the rappel, short hike through the jungle to the ziplines, and then zipline back to base. Great Wow factor. I would go again for sure!

And as others have said, Mike is from the US, so perfect English. The other guides from Costa Rica were also very well spoken in English, very professional, and also knowledgeable about the trees, plants and animals in the jungle.

Highly recommend waterfall jumping experience!

My 18 year old son and I just participated in the “Extreme Adventure” day long tour. Mike was an outstanding guide. He gave me great advice for activities to entertain my “Extreme Adreneline Junkie” son. We both had a fantastic time. Mike made us feel comfortable with cliff jumping and helped ensure it was safe and fun. I have never heard my son say “Thank you” so many times. Best experience and Highly recommended. Next time we are going to try the canyoneering. Lunch was the best food I ate in Costa Rica. Thanks Mike for the great experience.

Girls trip

We had the best time on our canyoning trip. We took The Waterfall Rappelling/Canyoning & Zipline Adventure. We had Wilson and Christian as our guides and they were amazing. They were kind, fun, funny and such a joy to spend the day with. I felt like they were longtime friends. I would recommend this trip to everyone. If I am ever lucky enough to vacation in Jaco again I will definitely go again. Well worth the money.

Best way to try canyoning and ziplining

We booked this activity the night before and it was the best decision we made. We had an amazing time! If you want to try canyoning and ziplining this is the activity for you because you get two for one. It includes transportation to and from your hotel.

Wil and Christian were both super awesome!!!! My 10 year old niece also did this activity and they were great at ensuring our safety while having the best time ever! It was a bit of a hike to get to the waterfall site, but by the end of the almost 5 hour activity we had repelled down a beautiful waterfall, and did three ziplines. We were a group of 8 and we never felt rushed.
What an amazing experience!!!! Don’t leave Jaco without doing this activity. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

The Absolute Highlight of My Vacation

“The Absolute Highlight of my Vacation.” was uttered by everyone on the ride back to the house. The hike to the zip-line, was great. Walking through (what I assume) a rain forest. As we made our way to the third tier of the water fall, it began to rain….just beautiful. Then we trekked to the final zip-line (nearly a half-a mile zip-line) ride, which took us over the tree tops and back to where we started. Our Guides were the best, motivated and joked right along with us. It was good to meet them.
